More photos of Spare Room
I dropped by the studio today to take a few more snaps of the space. We have been getting quite a few inquiries about rentals, so I wanted to make sure there were enough photos to really show what the place looks like.
While I was down there, I decided to take a test shot to get a feel for the light. I was so excited after seeing Lara’s donut shots, I had to try something myself. Plus, my first official food shoot was cancelled this past week due to illness, so I have been itching to get started on some fun projects!
We had some eggs in the fridge, plus a whole bunch of surfaces and backgrounds I bought last week at various salvage spots in the city, (which reminds me, if you haven’t been to The ReStore or Earthwise Architectural Salvage, then you are missing out. They are SO GREAT!)
I took a few minutes and just played. Not surprisingly, the light is incredible and shooting is a dream. I can’t wait to do more!!

The re-model is gorgeous. Congrats!
Your studio looks great, cosy and inspiring! I’m glad you both realised your dreams and I hope it will work out as an successful reality over the years! Good luck – if I would live closer I would come, promised!
Wow! The place looks awesome! I wish I lived near Seattle, but I currently live in NY. But if I come visit, I’ll definitely check it out!
Clare, the eggs look so elegant! The remodel is truly awesome. It’s hard to visualize the whole space; the kitchen setting and the living room setting are so cozy and comfortable, and then apparently there is much more wide open, interesting space in which to be fully creative. I love it all. I hope to visit your kitchen and living room the next time I’m in Seattle.
Love the space. So jealous can never find something so beautiful in San Francisco without giving away our life first! Where did you find the blue chairs? Looking for that style for our living room.
Good luck with this new chapter in your life – you will do a brilliant job, I am sure of it!
Chez Us- The blue chairs are from Cost Plus.
Where are the adorable pillows on the couch from?
Julie, those pillows are from Target.
